Welcome to the Guidance area!

The Guidance Office exists to help you!  What we do is in our name:  guidance in the form of information about standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, choosing a college or career path, applying to college and paying for it, finding scholarships, choosing your courses and ordering transcripts; and counseling if you need someone to listen, to talk with, to bounce ideas off of, to advise you about a course of action, and to pray with. 

Please check the Guidance Office bulletin board for information about college information nights, scholarship opportunities, and other pertinent details that can help you with your high school years and beyond. 

The Guidance Office will be open seven periods a day this year!  You don’t need an appointment; just come in to see Mrs. Rogers about college plans, SAT questions, personal issues, career opportunities, or just to say hello.

Registration for the SAT may be done online, by telephone, or by mail.  The Guidance Office will have a very limited supply of paper registration forms; we urge you to register online if at all possible.

AP Exams

AP courses offered at LVCHS this year are AP English Literature and Composition, AP Calculus, and AP Physics.  In addition, AP Biology and Advanced Chemistry are designed to prepare students for AP level tests.  For a complete list of AP exams and dates, go to http://apcentral.collegeboard.com.
